Royal Vancouver Yacht Club

Established in 1903, the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC) is set to represent Canada at the 37th America’s Cup, hosted by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Barcelona. This year’s edition includes the traditional America’s Cup challenge series and America’s Cup match race event, along with a Youth regatta, and for the first time in the Cup’s 137-year history, a Women’s regatta. RVYC is proud to field teams in both the Women’s and Youth events with RVYC members Isabella Bertold leading the Women’s team, and Andrew Wood serving as the team leader for the Youth squad.

The Royal Vancouver Yacht Club’s commitment to the advancement of high-performance yacht racing extends both nationally and internationally. With a legacy of cultivating Canadian sailing Olympians in various classes since 1932, RVYC remains a force in global competitions. The club offers extensive racing programs across Optimist, ILCA, 29er, IQ Foil, and Elliott 6M classes, ensuring premier high-performance training opportunities. This foundational support is designed to propel our athletes to the forefront of international sailing excellence.
